AEF Global and the Development of Bioprotec PLUS

AEF Global began its activities by developing and registering its own strain of Btk (Bacillus thuringinesis ssp. kurstaki) at the turn of the 2000s. The development was carried out entirely in Quebec, Canada.

This biopesticide, well known as Bioprotec PLUS, has been marketed across Canada by AEF for over 15 years in various agricultural productions. This same product is now registered and available in the United States under the same name.

Since then, AEF has registered two other active ingredients that have enabled the launch of 5 more products in the agricultural sector.

Our products fit very well into an integrated pest management program, given their compatibility with many conventional products and safety towards beneficial insects. Integrated pest management helps to reduce the presence of pesticides on fruits and vegetables as well as the development of resistance.
